Unconventional Career Coaching for Unconventional People

A holistic, structured, and bespoke approach to career exploration.

Chances are you’re here because you’re feeling uncertain about your next career move. You know something needs to change, but you have no idea where to start and what to do.

Maybe you have a million ideas of what direction you could go in, and find yourself endlessly weighing the pros and cons.

Or maybe you have no ideas on what a better career may look like, and need someone to show you the possibilities.

Or, there is that one big idea that won’t go away. You find yourself obsessing a bit and want to get some clarity before you spend time and money chasing a dream.

You know something better is possible, but you’re not sure how to get there.

Finding career alignment is not merely about checking boxes in an assessment and following a linear path to that static outcome. Your career is a big part of your (complex, unconventional and sometimes messy) life, so a holistic, dynamic and personalized approach is crucial to getting the clarity you need to move forward.

You are in the right place!

Hi, I’m Jill  Culver

Career consultant to the disillusioned, the dissatisfied, and the downright depressed. Can I just state the obvious?

You deserve to be happy at work!

I’m here to help you find work that aligns with your values, strengths, priorities and authentic self – and find an environment that promotes balance and wellbeing.

As soon as you take the next step here – starting with your Career Clarity Compass – we’ll be working 1:1 for YOU. (No webinar replays, no course modules, and no run-around.) It’s time that someone listens and takes you seriously. So that’s what we’ll do.

I became a Social Worker, Therapist, and Career Consultant relatively late in life.

(My mom points out that I like to do things backwards).

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of roles, including as a doula, outreach worker, food server, and a parent. The common thread in all these experiences was my passion for working with people. I was drawn to therapy because I’ve personally experienced the profound impact of being truly understood and accepted, while also being encouraged to grow and change.

I have always been fascinated by how career choices shape our lives and well-being. I realized that my strengths-based, forward-focused, and feminist approach to therapy aligns perfectly with my specialization in career coaching and counseling.

I also can’t seem to stop having career conversations- trust me, I’ve tried! Ask anyone. I live in a world full of endless possibilities and aim to inspire others with my unrelenting enthusiasm for their potential. My kids sometimes think it’s a bit much, and honestly, I can’t blame them!

I love learning new things and am often taken by new passions and excitements. Here is a list of my relevant courses, trainings and credentials:

(This does not include the endless podcasts, conversations, books, articles, reels and YouTube videos I consume which provide a less rigorous but still effective body of knowledge)
